      <image:caption>First of all, thank you for supporting us on our journey. We could not be where we are without you and for that we are eternally grateful. Now, the big question - why did we come together to build Solo Brands? The short story: to empower each and every one of our brands to better serve you, our customers and community. The long story: we fundamentally believe that the future of commerce should be built by unique, distinctive, amazing brands that form genuine connection with their audience in a responsible and accountable manner. We believe a brand’s emotional connection with their customers is the most critical factor to support and uplift, and we believe the way to do that is 1) deliver incredible customer experiences, 2) build best-in-class products for, and with our community, and 3) do so in a manner that is accountable to our followers, friends, families, team-members, and to the environment. While we don’t define ourselves by our antithesis, it’s important to note that this means we do not believe in a future of commerce dominated by one or a few megastores that stock everything from A to Z which you access through the impersonal search bar at the top of a site. We exist to uplift the brand. We exist to uplift unique and passionate communities. We exist to uplift our employees. And we exist to uplift our environment and to build a better model for conscious retail. It’s important to note that this is just the beginning. We are still learning about how to navigate this journey, but we are 100% aligned on, and maniacally driven by, our true north. Each of us joined Solo Brands because we are better together. We believe that in order to create this future of unique and distinctive brands, we will need help. We will need to share our expertise. We will need to share resources. We will need to learn as a unit in order to grow as individual brands. From a customer experience perspective, anything less than the absolute best is unacceptable, and while we’ve banded together we truly think of ourselves as a band of rebels building the future of commerce in a world where the constant question is “When will the Megastores muscle in?” We say go ahead.       <image:caption>Solo Brands is underpinned by the Solo Stove brand, which was founded in 2011 by two brothers seeking to bring family together in the outdoors. By combining their passion for e-commerce with their love of the outdoors, they created a digitally-native platform anchored by the revolutionary Solo Stove Lite (“Lite”), an ultralight and portable backpacking camp stove that does not require synthetic fuel and can boil water in under 10 minutes using just twigs, sticks, and leaves found outside. The Lite was our first disruptive DTC product offering, but its success has been outdone by Solo Stove’s iconic, stainless steel, virtually smokeless fire pits, that created a new product category that continues to bring together a loyal community of enthusiasts who power our brands and platform to this day.</image:caption>

It’s true - In the late 2000's, one of our founders happened upon a donut recipe and became fascinated with how and why great content was becoming available on the Internet. At the same time, Spencer and Jeff, brothers and co-founders of Solo Stove, were itching to start a business together and get back to doing the things they loved: spending time together and being outdoors. Making it happen wasn’t fast or easy but after two years and dozens of ideas, Solo Stove was founded in Jeff’s garage in 2010 as an e-commerce, outdoor brand. Our first product, the original Solo Stove Lite camp stove, was designed primarily for backpackers who appreciated an ultra-lightweight stove that required no more than sticks and leaves for fuel (easily found when hiking) and would boil water in under 10 minutes.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Solo Stove - Within a couple of years, passionate “super-fans” emerged with feedback that we should design slightly larger stoves for day hiking and car camping. We listened. The Titan and Campfire stoves entered the market. They were both instant hits with our existing customers, and they helped us appeal to new customers in the camping category. As the Solo Stove community grew, so did our excitement for helping people get outside to create amazing memories with the people they love in their favorite places.</image:title>

So in 2016, we announced plans to release Bonfire, a portable, nearly smokeless, incredibly efficient wood-burning fire pit. Bonfire was born in 2017 and so was the perfect backyard camping experience. Our community couldn’t have been more thrilled. Since its founding and con tinuing today, Solo Stove designs simple, ingenious outdoor products that help you enjoy good moments that turn into lasting memories.       <image:caption>Oru Kayak was born when a designer who loved kayaking read a magazine article about origami. He looked around his studio apartment and thought, “what if a kayak could fold up like a piece of paper, and fit in my closet?” Paper models of folding kayaks led to hacked full-sized prototypes. The first one sank in minutes, but they got steadily better.... and a weekend hobby quickly became a full-time obsession.  A young business school student took his first ever kayak ride under the Golden Gate bridge in one of these prototypes, and was hooked. The eager duo launched the company on Kickstarter in 2012 to an overwhelming response. In the years since, Oru Kayak has expanded from one model to a full array of products and accessories, all to help paddlers of all abilities connect with water— from ponds to the Pacific.</image:caption>

In the beginning, we were just two San Diego surfers fresh out of college with nothing more than a dream of following our passion and some lint in our pockets. That passion was fueled by water, riding waves and a keen sense for adventure. One day we decided to leave behind our newly found corporate jobs to follow that adventure and haven’t looked back since. What started out in our parents’ storage unit back in 2004 has grown into one of the largest online retailers of Paddle Boards in existence.       <image:caption>Chubbies was founded in 2011 by a group of friends who found the traditional world of men’s capital-F-”Fashion” completely unrelatable. We saw pictures of shirtless men with rippling ab muscles, some standing outside of storefronts coating you with cologne, with the message of “if only you buy our clothes you can try to be as cool as we are” - and we were absolutely repelled. At the same time, we saw that “shorts” in the marketplace were getting longer and longer, with more and more fabric/pocketing/zip-ties &amp; whoseewhatsits all over them. Where were the proper length men’s shorts that defined generations of shortsmen? Not only were shorts becoming completely unrecognizable, but they were also losing their personality, their craftsmanship. No one was focusing on this forgotten category of men’s apparel, when it’s a product that’s so vital to get right. Finally, we founded the company in 2011, just 3 years after the financial crisis, 4 years after the launch of the first iPhone, and in the wake of the rapid rise of Facebook, Linkedin and other social networking apps. People were more stressed, comparing their lives to others on social media, and allowing work to overtake more and more of the work-life balance. Enter Chubbies - our visceral and irreverent response to all of the above. We launched in September of 2011 and were sold out for 2+ years of our core casual shorts product. In the subsequent years we launched swim trunks, aloha shirts, sport shorts, lounge shorts, performance polos, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and quarter to round out the year-round Weekend Wardrobe. Throughout, we maintained a consistent focus on building the perfect product for your Weekend, and wove every piece of fabric around that objective. Now, we are proud to say we have the most well-rounded, custom-built-for-the-weekend apparel on the planet and, not only that, a brand built by, and for, our community and 100% centered on that Friday at 5pm feeling.</image:caption>
